Sma Litzsinger is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Los Angeles. Through her primary medium of painted photographs, Sma creates personal philosophical narratives by blending elements of traditional Eastern European folk art, mythology, occult symbolism and dreams — reimagining the subjects in her found photographs as ethereal beings and transforming mundane landscapes into dark scenes of evanescent crossovers between physical and liminal realities.
Through her distinctive style and deep anthropological fluency, Sma’s paintings are a direct result of a vivid inner world, reflecting a decade of rigorous historical, esoteric and cultural research, interwoven with her own deeply personal metaphysical practice and dedication to spiritual development through disciplined introspection and psychological self-awareness.
