I decided to revisit one of my vampires named Twila. The first time I painted her she was crying by her own grave and I felt like it was time she made a friend and move on from being sad about her formal mortal life.
In part two of Twila she has met Gordon, he is a bat with similar tastes and encourages Twila to start feeding again. Together they lift each others spirits, while draining them from others.
Proving that sometimes when your stuck all you need is a friend who can remind you how fun life can still be.
- Finishing touches: these two come framed in a vintage frame. The back has been papered with a hanger.

Salem native Dustin Bailard was born with an instinctual passion for creation. His father was a pastor so he spent much of his childhood growing up in churches where his imagination was always alive and he developed a deep appreciation for anything spiritual or supernatural.
Moving to LA in his adulthood, Dustin found feet for his passion and became a successful makeup artist. Dustin spent the following 15 years painting the faces of starlets, socialites, and vampires. Until he decided his work was ready to take on new wings- he started painting. His passion exploded as he found the perfect conduit for his voice, experimenting on all mediums until he met his true love-oils.
Dustin now creates full time in his studio in Palm Springs. painting enormous canvases that explore the representations of emotions, longing and loss tied to the fierce beauty and wildness of nature.
